Barack Rocks the VOTE!

August 25, 2008 will be a day forever etched in history and the American memory.  The Democratic National Convention kicked off with speeches and music in Denver Colorado to celebrate Barack Obama as the first bi-racial presidential nominee in history to accept the Democratic Party’s nomination.

This week, Fall Out Boy, Daughtry, N.E.R.D., Otep Shamaya and others will perform for Rock the Vote encouraging and celebrating record numbers of young and new voters.

This year Rock the Vote will forge the largest youth voter registration drive in history, registering 2 million young people.  2008 is clearly the year of the youth vote and Rock the Vote will be there every step of the way.

Otep gave an inspiring, inciteful and insightful speech and encouraged everyone to stand up, speak out and vote!

Denver will forever remember this week….as will America!
